What can you use it for?

With the SDS-MICRO device, you can create:

  • IP watchdog - check any IP enabled device if it responds to ICMP PING, if not then reset it !
  • DNS watchdog
  • WWW/HTTP watchdog
  • web thermometer, you can connect more 1-Wire® thermometers
  • ethernet/serial converter
  • four A/D inputs, with user selectable span
  • "internet-enabled relay"
  • any other HW add-ons on demand

Device is always shipped with preloaded firmware, so it is ready to go (plug and play). Of course, you can get all the new firmware releases for free (and this will stay so forever). Using the bootloader, you can conviniently upload the new firmware image to device.

  • web interface, user friendly, english, for monitoring and control
  • web interface for direct SDS-C programming
  • SNMP - agent, MIB file available
  • SNMP useable for the TheDude software
  • SNMP useable for Cacti
  • dynamic XML file generator (all inputs etc. realtime)
  • thermo web snippets (for direct user's web page embedding)
  • UDP proprietary protocol, of course fully publicly open
  • NTP client - automatical sync of internal clock
  • SDS-C automation scripting language
  • many, many, many more functions

Default firmware has the following abilities:

  • IP watchdog for one IP address (if more are neccessary, use your own SDS-C script)
  • temperature measuring for up to eight 1-Wire® sensors (for alarms, etc., use SDS-C script)
  • relay outputs control by hand, IP watchdog, SDS-C script
  • ability to name the thermometers and relays (to let user know, what controls what)
  • reading the optocoupled binary inputs
  • user setting the PWM output (frequency, duty) via web interface or SDS-C script
  • reading all four A/D inputs and presenting their values via web or to SDS-C script
